It is extremely important to us to be responsible stewards of the resources that belong to all Alabamians. In part, that's why no taxpayer monies are used to fund these efforts. We want to ensure that every citizen has access to their public lands, and that their waters, wildlife and natural surroundings are conserved — but also that we practice sound fiscal management of funds entrusted to us.

For two decades, Alabama's Forever Wild Trust has worked to expand the number of natural areas available to the public, so that present and future generations can enjoy quality-of-life opportunities in the outdoors. These projects are additions to your Alabama parks and wildlife management areas, as well as entirely new recreation areas.
