Overview
With their protected forest and marsh wetland habitats, the several acquisitions that make up the Weeks Bay Reserve tracts in Baldwin County cover approximately 1,710 acres. These tracts were acquired with financial support from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, through the National Coastal Wetlands grant program or from the National Estuarine Research Reserve System’s habitat protection program of stewardship, education and research.

Recreational opportunities include picnicking, hiking, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, and terrific bird watching and wildlife observation. Before you hit the trailheads at the Weeks Bay Interpretative Center, be sure to bring insect repellent!
