Overview
These two properties are located within a few miles of each other in south Mobile County.

Heron Bay consists of 487 acres of coastal marsh, maritime forest and piney flatwoods.

Portersville Bay consists of 470 acres of coastal marsh, maritime forest and piney flatwoods.

Both tracts are managed as nature preserves to protect Alabama’s tidal marshes. Recreational opportunities include bird watching and wildlife observation.

These tracts were acquired with financial support from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service through a $1 million National Coastal Wetlands grant.

Directions
From I-10 take exit 17A onto HWY 193 south towards Dauphin Island. Go 19 miles and turn right onto HWY 188. In 1 mile turn left onto Heron Bay Loop to access Heron Bay.

In 6.3 Miles turn left onto Callahan Rd to access Portersville Bay.
